In a career spanning now over 25 years, Tommy has worked with many of the great companies like Strathmore, DC Comics, Rolling Stone, Fangoria, and Paramount Pictures, and has put paint and pencil to comic book mainstays such as Batman Detective, Legends of the Dark Knight, Tales from the Crypt, Toetags (with horror legend George Romero), Alice in Wonderland, King Kong, Coloring Book of the Dead and The Darkside of Oz.
Tommy Castillo is a master artist of the twisted and the macabre. Whether creating a slimy corpse reaching for you or the gentle glance of a mighty dragon, Tommy will capture you with the dynamics of his penciling and the intensity of his palette. With a career spanning eighteen years, Tommy is famed and sought after for his dark humor, brilliant attention to detail, and his love of the darker side of art.
Castillo enjoys working in traditional media and also works digitally. For his digital work, the Modbook Pro — which is the only Macbased tablet available — offers him the advantage of speed, power and portability.

Kody has been working with the Modbook since 2008, upgrading to the Modbook Pro in the last year. He first got involved when he met the team behind the original Modbook at a comic book convention in Los Angeles. The mobility and versatility of the Modbook has been a huge asset right from the get go and when he started doing up to 12 public appearances a year, portability was essential. Like most artists, he also owns a studio computer system, but quickly realized that he also needed a mobile solution that provided the capability to work in a diverse set of mediums such as story, art, lettering, coloring and book design while on the road. Without the ModBook, this would simply not have been possible and he describes his upgrade to the ModBook Pro as a “game changer,” owing to its power and capabilities coupled with its amazingly compact size.
