1. The Modbook Pro is an enclosure conversion kit that transforms an original Apple MacBook Pro notebook-style computer into a tablet-style computer. Apple Inc.’s one-year warranty on the MacBook Pro base system is voided by the conversion and replaced with the one-year Modbook Pro Protection Plan, which covers the entire hardware solution, including the base system. Modbook Inc. is not affiliated with, nor is the Modbook Pro sponsored or endorsed by, Apple Inc.
2. Based on testing conducted in August 2012 on Modbook Pro preproduction units, units equipped with 16GB EnergySaver DIMMs drained approximately 10% less battery power than units equipped with standard 4GB and 8GB DIMMs during identical memory-intensive tests. Power usage and battery life may vary depending on a specific unit’s configuration and usage.
3. Modbook Pro Nishara and Sanshara SATA 3 solid-state drives (SSDs) feature asynchronous (Nishara) and synchronous (Sanshara) NAND technology and offer high performance and quicker access speeds along with greater reliability and longevity compared to mechanical drives (HDDs).
4. Additional supported display resolutions: 1152 by 720, 1024 by 640, and 800 by 500 pixels at 16:10 aspect ratio; 1024 by 768, 800 by 600, and 640 by 480 pixels at 4:3 aspect ratio; 1024 by 768, 800 by 600, and 640 by 480 pixels at 4:3 aspect ratio (stretched); 720 by 480 pixels at 3:2 aspect ratio; 720 by 480 pixels at 3:2 aspect ratio (stretched).
5. Modbook Pro System Software can be installed/reinstalled with no additional hardware. System install/reinstall of base system’s OS X operating system, though rarely necessary, may require use of USB keyboard (sold separately).
6. Height excludes built-in 3D-GripFeet. Height including 3D-GripFeet is 0.97 inches (2.47 cm).
